Marianne Challis brings an audience-wowing combination of sophisticated chanteuse and rib-tickling comedienne to her show at Feinstein?s at Loews Regency. The refreshing and irreverent cabaret star is the 2008 Bistro Award Winner for Outstanding Female Vocalist as well as vocal coach to some of Broadway?s top singing talent. She explores the challenges of the baby-boomer generation in a show stamped with her own brand of satirical story-telling as well as her emotionally compelling interpretation of an eclectic song mix ranging from 80?s pop to the Great American Songbook.
The show will include several of her most-requested songs, such as ?Something In Red,? and ?Downtown,? as well as newly crafted arrangements especially for this engagement. Musical direction is by Mark Hummel well-known Broadway arranger, and composer of the current Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Direction by MAC Award winner Scott Barnes.
