DEAN REGAN

divider

Dean Regan is an actor, singer and coach hailing from Chicago. His first love has always been theater which inspires him in all of his creative projects on and off Broadway, television or film.

Dean’s numerous theater credits include performances in “Cabaret,” “The Man of La Mancha,” “The Music Man,” “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” “Company,” “The Pirates of Penzance,” “Equus,” “Hay Fever,” “Once Upon a Mattress” and“Frankenstein.” Performances on television include roles on “NYPD Blue” and a long-running character on the drama “Secrets,” as well as appearances on many daytime dramas. He appeared in "Working Girl" (and will never forget working with Mike Nichols!), and worked with cutting edge director Mark Wilkinson in “Dischord.”

Dean traveled the country with the First National Tour of “The Pirates of Penzance,” working with Jim Belushi, Maureen McGovern, George Rose, and Peter Noone (of the musical group “Herman’s Hermits”). During the tour, he was honored to perform at the White House for President and Mrs. Reagan. After the national tour, Dean moved to New York and performed On- and Off-Broadway (and, yes, off-off-off-off Broadway as well!) and in several daytime dramas.

After several years in the Big Apple, Dean left those snowy winters on the East Coast for sunny Los Angeles, where he currently lives. He was tapped by Crystal Cruises to produce and perform in a series of concerts for their Inaugural World Cruise. During this 96-day (first class!) world tour Dean and company performed concerts of classic American music while exploring 32 ports between Los Angeles and London. Dean says, ”It was the trip of a life time!”

Dean was founding Artistic Director of “The Hollywood Repertory Company” and later became President of the Board of Directors for its new incarnation: Theatre InSite, under the Artistic Direction of Michael Arabian. Dean was a member of one of Hollywood’s most beloved theater companies: The West Coast Ensemble under the Artistic Direction of Les Hanson.. He served as Managing Partner of The Weatherford Group, a production company in Hollywood which produced the wildly successful cable drama, “Secrets,” for which Dean served as actor and dialogue coach and recurring episode director.

Dean has a degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association (AEA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
