Tamm E Hunt has recorded with Elton John, Patrick Adams, Tony Valor, Angela Bofil, John Luongo and many other hit makers, creating number one records on the BillBoard Magazine Pop, R & B, Dance and Disco charts. However, she finds a broad comfort zone in the Jazz & Blues lexicon with an impressive range of materials that features evergreens from the American Song Book. A superb stylist, she is lauded for her conviction to address the works of composers Ellington, Gershwin, Porter, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday and Carlos Jobim. But the real fun begins when Tamm E Hunt gets down and gritty with the Blues and a collection of her own originals.

Born in New York City and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, to a musical family, she is the niece of Blues singer Hannah Sylvester, who was known as the ?Mae West Of Harlem? and for her outstanding recordings with orchestra leader Fletcher Henderson.

After spending a short while at The Juilliard School of Music and Fordham University, Tamm E Hunt hit the road traveling the globe and building a career in music and theater. Along the way she appeared on the BBC in London, NHK Public Television in Japan, Rome TV in Italy and the David Letterman Late Night Show. Singing in top venues in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Canada and London.

She appeared in Alex Haley?s made for TV movie, Roots: The Gift with Louis Gossett, Jr., and later co-starred with saxophonist Gary Bartz in the celebrated film short; A Jazz Story directed by Mevlut Akkaya and wrote and starred in the off Broadway multi-media musical Billie Holiday: The Legend with pianist Roy Merriwether. Subsequently, Hunt was bought to the attention of Birdland owner Gianni Valente by Mrs. Thelonious (Nellie) Monk. Valente booked her continuously over a ten year period.

Proving that her music and business skills do not end on the bandstand, Hunt received certificates in marketing and management from NYU Stern School of Business while keeping her feet firmly planted in honing her Jazz & Blues skills. She then produced and recorded the critically acclaimed Tamm E Hunt Live @ Birdland with Eric Reed, Gary Bartz and Mac Gollehon, Will Terrill and Dr. Don Moore and released it on her own New Jazz Audience record label.
