Todd Murray
From Japan to Russia, New York City to LA, Todd Murray has been seen singing the American Songbook and wowing audiences. His low voice and smooth delivery harkens to an era of yesteryear when the sounds of Crosby, Sinatra, and Haymes were staple voices on the airwaves. He is a MAC nominated vocalist, songwriter, and record producer. His debut CD When I Sing Low garnered much praise including Talkin Broadways Top Ten Vocal CDs of 2002. His Cinegrill performances were named LA Weeklys Pick of the Month, and OUT Magazine named him on the Hot List for Cabaret singers. NY audiences have seen Todd in numerous solo shows including Feinsteins at the Regency Hotel New York, The Metropolitan Room , LAs famed Catalina Jazz Club, and has appeared at The Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Town Hall, and Broadway By The Years 1935. He toured in the first Broadway tour of The Secret Garden, starred Off-Broadway and has been seen regionally at Papermill Playhouse and many others. His award-winning CDs When I Sing Low & Stardust and Swing were recorded in Capitol Records famed Studio A with full brass and string arrangements. His new show CROON is currently touring throughout the United States, and has recently brought him added attention as one of the top 10 cabaret artists so named by Edge New York Magazine. Rex Reed of The New York Observer states, Todd Murray, is a cabaret prince headed for the big cabaret throne if ever I've spotted one. CROON is back at Feinsteins by popular demand with music from every decade from the 30s to present day, demonstrating crooning as singing intimately with a microphone, including tunes made famous by Crosby, Sinatra, The Beatles, Lou Rawls, Leonard Cohen and more!
