FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post will continue its 10th Anniversary with ?The Actors Fund Broadway Series? on Monday nights from April 27 through the Tony Awards. To help raise money for The Actors Fund, the club will feature such Broadway luminaries as James Barbour, Andrea Burns, the cast of [title of show], Julia Murney and Norm Lewis. All admission proceeds will go directly to the assistance of professionals in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition.
JAMES BARBOUR (April 27) is best known for his portrayals of Edward Fairfax Rochester in the Broadway musical of Jane Eyre and his most recent appearance as Sydney Carton in A Tale of Two Cities. His numerous other Broadway credits include Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Leon Czolgosz in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Tony award winning musical Assassins. On the west coast stage, he has been Lancelot to Jeremy Irons' King Arthur in Camelot at the Hollywood Bowl.
ANDRÉA BURNS (May 4) began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in West Side Story. Since then she has appeared on Broadway as Daniela in In The Heights, as Belle in Disney?s Beauty and the Beast, and as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty. She has appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall and many other symphonic halls across the country. She can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Songs for A New World, Saturday Night, Shine, Broadway Bound, The Broadway Musicals of 1953, and It?s Only Life as well as her debut solo album A Deeper Shade of Red.
THE CAST OF [title of show] (May 11) is comprised of Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff. Hailed as ?a fresh new musical worth cheering,? by the New York Times [title of show] began its journey at the New York Music Theater Festival. A backstage musical in the tradition of Kiss Me Kate and A Chorus Line, the ?sly, sassy and inspired? show, according to Entertainment Weekly ran for 201 performances at Broadway?s Lyceum Theater.
JULIA MURNEY (May 18) most recently delighted audiences as Elphaba in the national tour of Wicked. She made her Broadway debut in Lennon and received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Queenie in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party. She has appeared in several Actors Fund concerts including Funny Girl, Chess, and Hair. Television audiences may recognize her from several appearances on "Sex and the City", "Ed", "NYPD Blue", and all three "Law and Orders." Her debut CD, I?m Not Waiting, is available through Ghostlight Records.
NORM LEWIS (June 1) is currently playing King Triton in Disney's The Little Mermaid at The Lunt-Fontanne Theater on Broadway. His other Broadway credits include the roles of Javert in Les Miserables, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Painter in Amour, Eddie in Michael John LaChuisa's The Wild Party, Jake in Side Show , John in Miss Saigon and The Specialist in The Who's Tommy. He has also appeared in Actors Fund concerts of Dreamgirls, Chess, and Hair. He recently released his debut CD This Is The Life.
